ClearLite™ anaesthetic face masks

ClearLite is a new range of phthalate and PVC-free anaesthetic face masks available with or without a hook ring.

The range is lightweight and crystal clear with a colour-coded seal for ease of size selection.  The range is available in seven sizes - from 0 (neonatal) through to size 6 (large adult) - to meet the clinical needs of all patient types and sizes.

Due to the enhanced anatomical design and flexible, non-inflatable cuff, the ClearLite mask offers superior seal performance with minimum pressure, reducing the risk of unnecessary discomfort and potential trauma. The superior seal can also assist the clinician in providing optimum manual ventilation of the patient in both the anaesthetic and emergency situation.

As the ClearLite mask is phthalate and PVC free, and is available without a hook ring, it significantly reduces waste and minimises the impact on the environment.

To find out more about the range please visit the product page to review the information sheet and video.

ClearLite - a clear choice to reduce your impact on the environment.

Intersurgical sponsor 2019 Innovation in Anaesthesia Award

The annual award presented by the AAGBI was won by the developers of an online preoperative assessment programme.

Presented at the AAGBI's Winter Scientific Meeting in London recently, the awards recognise innovation in anaesthesia and provide a springboard for new ideas.

The winner was Dr Paul Upton for his development of MyPreOp, an online system that allows patients to set up their own account and decide what personal assessment information they share with healthcare providers. Clinicians do not have access to these records, which empowers patients with the management of their care.

Speaking to the AAGBI, Dr Upton said: "I'm stunned to have won. It came as a great surprise. As a team we see this win as an opportunity to get MyPreOp rolled out across the NHS."

Congratulations to Dr Upton and his team.

Intersurgical 2020 Photo Calendar Competition … You decide!

We want you to decide the theme of our Photo Calendar Competition for next year. Email us your idea!
For the past two years we have been running a competition for customers encouraging them to send in photographs to feature in our lovely desk calendar for customers.

For our first calendar in 2018, we encouraged customers to send in photographs of scenic ‘Hidden Gems’ in the locality of their hospital. The following year, the theme was ‘Go wild at work!’ where we asked customers to seek out the local wildlife to snap.

Now, for our 2020 calendar, we want you to decide the theme. The person who comes up with the most creative and winning idea will receive a FREE Intersurgical goody bag!

You can share your idea with us on social media, via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Alternatively click here to email your idea.

Our 2020 Photo Calendar Competition theme will be announced on our website on Monday 4th March. We look forward to receiving your ideas.
